Hungry Eyes.
I love Nigel Milsom’s large scale action paintings but also his portraits, for which he was awarded both Archibald and Moran prizes. This is a study for his greyhound series. A gleaming, sleek, muzzled animal hurtling towards us, as if we are the finishing line, or the prey. A great visceral study.
