Elegant Subversion.
I’m drawn to graphic, imaginative and often surreal artwork from original, challenging artists. I found all this and more in Brent Harris’s 2002 series GROTESQUERIES. Contorted figures, bodily fluids, psychological depth and family secrets exposed in elegant detail. Brent’s superb suite of seven intimate Japanese styled woodcut prints are as subversive as they are beautiful.
