Louis XVI Style Ormolu-Mounted Amaranth, Sycamore, Marquetry and Parquetry Bureau à Cylindre, Late 19th Century

in the manner of Jean-Henri Riesener, the rectangular top with a pierced three-quarter gallery, above a lozenge parquetry cylinder roll-top centred with a musical trophy, the interior fitted with drawers and retractable writing slide, the sides inlaid with lozenge parquetry, the frieze drawer mounted with ormolu faun scene and flanked by two short drawers, on square tapering legs with acanthus-sheathed sabots
