French, late 19th century, each painted with a Watteauesque pastoral scene signed 'Eug. Poitessin',the reverse with a bouquet of garden flowers, with gilt metal goat head mask handles to either side, with pseudo blue interlaced L’s with ‘BB’ and painted red numerals ‘258’ to each cover
