a fine example of Russian silver, hand crafted by a Russian émigré silversmith in Harbin, in high Art Nouveau style with scenes from the Medieval Russian epic of Sadko, the set comprising a teapot, coffee pot, covered sugar, cream jug and a larger rectangular twin handle tray, sides repousse and chased with a scene of Sadko playing his gusli before the Sea Tsar, against a seascape with sailing vessels, titled in Cyrillic lettering ‘Sadko’, gold washed interiors, 84 silver ‘kokoshnik’ mark
