Japanese Brown Lacquer Samurai Armour

19th Century

with white, orange and green lacing, comprising Momonari Kabuto lacquered russet brown and mounted with a four-lame Hineno style yodarekake, the fukigaeshi applied with stencilled doe skin and the mabisashi with lacquered gold and ishime finish, the russet brown lacquered menpo applied with bushy moustache and fitted with four-lame yodarekake, the cuirass with cross-knots and applied with two decorative rings, further fitted with seven sections of five-lame kusazuri, the munaita and wakiita with gold lacquer finish,having matching chusode and shino gote silvered on the splints, with silvered plate and chain mail haidate and shino suneate, with original traveling case and wood stand
