Pair of Sauce Tureens

hemispherical form on pedestal foot with band of gadrooning and rising to gadroon flange with the plain body having two engraved crests and applied rim with band of foliate, reed and tie above shallow panelling, the reeded handles looped and terminating in lion masks, having moulded and slightly domed pull off covers with band of fluting around foliate spool finial surmounted by serpent ring handle and engraved also with crests, bearing marks for Benjamin Smith II, London 1807    (2)
