Marc Newson, Booth-Clibborn, fig.60 Newson travelled to Thailand in the late 1980’s and developed the woven version of his famous lounge chair. Newson said “I thought of this really beautiful shape and went out to the factory in the countryside, full of oxen, to make it. Each one took four hundred man hours of work.”
